TG Metals Establishes Maiden Lithium Resource at Lake Johnston
TG Metals Limited (ASX: TG6) has announced its first Mineral Resource Estimate for the Burmeister lithium deposit, part of its wholly owned Lake Johnston Project in Western Australia. The deposit hosts an Inferred Resource of 6.7 million tonnes grading 1.2% Li₂O, providing a foundation for evaluating an initial Direct Shipping Ore operation.
Further growth potential is indicated by an Exploration Target ranging from 11 million to 14.5 million tonnes at grades of 0.9% to 1.2% Li₂O. Metallurgical work has also indicated that simple ore-sorting techniques could produce spodumene material grading around 1.5% Li₂O.
TG Metals intends to resume drilling during Q3 2026 to expand and improve confidence in the resource. Alongside drilling, the company will assess the requirements for a potential open-pit DSO operation, advance its Mining Lease application and provide core samples to prospective offtake parties for evaluation.
