Leeuwin Metals Secures Pilbara Joint Venture with Arrow Minerals
Leeuwin Metals Ltd (ASX: LM1) has entered a joint venture and option arrangement with Arrow Minerals Limited (ASX: AMD) covering prospective tenements near the Yarraloola Copper Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara. Under the agreement, Arrow will acquire a 70% interest in E08/3668, while Leeuwin retains 30% ownership. Arrow also receives a 12-month option over E08/3719 and E08/3777, taking the broader package to 319 square kilometres.
The initial tenement hosts more than 2.4 kilometres of surface-exposed, direct-shipping-grade channel iron mineralisation and sits less than 15 kilometres from Rio Tinto’s Robe River operations. Arrow will fund exploration, with drilling planned as soon as practical. Leeuwin will receive AU$125,000 in Arrow shares for the initial transaction and another AU$125,000 if the option is exercised. Importantly, Leeuwin’s 30% interest remains free-carried through a Bankable Feasibility Study and Decision to Mine, preserving exposure without exploration funding obligations while retaining meaningful Pilbara upside for its shareholders.
