Hillgrove Resources Secures Copper Price Protection with New Hedge Program

Hillgrove Resources Limited (ASX: HGO) has introduced a new copper hedging arrangement with Commonwealth Bank of Australia to strengthen cost protection and manage commodity price risk. Announced on 10 August 2026, the program covers 3,600 tonnes of copper production between September 2026 and August 2027 at a fixed price of AU$20,046 per tonne, equivalent to AU$9.09 per pound.

The company said the fixed-price swap is designed to cover a significant portion of its fixed costs while preserving exposure to copper prices across most of its production. Hillgrove’s previous hedge book was fully closed in July 2026. Importantly, the new arrangement does not change production guidance or operational expectations. Management described the move as part of its broader risk-management strategy as the company progresses its operational and development priorities.
