Horizon Oil Expands Reserves Base as Thailand and Cue Acquisitions Drive Growth

Horizon Oil Limited (ASX: HZN) has reported a substantial increase in its reserves and resources for the year ended 30 June 2026, underlining the impact of its strategic acquisitions across Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. Net 2P Proved and Probable Reserves rose 51% to 13.6 MMboe from 9.0 MMboe a year earlier, despite 2.1 MMboe of production during FY26.

The growth was supported by Horizon’s Thailand interests and the acquisition of a controlling stake in Cue Energy Resources, contributing 6.0 MMboe to reserves. Net 2C Contingent Resources also increased 61% to 19.8 MMboe, while 2U Prospective Resources surged 450% to 14.3 MMboe. FY26 production reached a record 2.1 MMboe, compared with 1.6 MMboe previously, supported by Thailand.
