IPB Petroleum Limited-Acquisition of Highly Prospective Alaskan Oil Leases
IPB Petroleum Limited (ASX: IPB) has executed a Binding Terms Sheet to acquire Peritas LLC, securing an exclusive option over 143,368 acres of highly prospective oil leases in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve. The package includes 11 exploration leases positioned on trend with major North Slope discoveries and two unitised leases covering the previously identified Umiat oil field.
The acquisition, targeted for completion by 31 January 2026, provides IPB with access to significant undeveloped resources, including the untested Harrier prospect and extensive historical development studies at Umiat. To support due diligence, technical assessments and working capital, IPB has launched a $1.27 million placement, complemented by director participation. Key transaction terms include a US$10,000 exclusivity fee, a US$300,000 loan to fund BLM lease bonding, and an equity-based consultancy agreement with Paul Craig, who will serve as in-country advisor. On completion, Peritas will become a wholly owned subsidiary, positioning IPB for renewed exploration and strategic expansion across the NPR-A.
