Patagonia Lithium Strengthens Brine Potential with Encouraging Well 7 Porosity Results
Patagonia Lithium Limited (ASX: PL3) has completed core porosity testing at Well 7 (JAM 26-07), where lithium concentration reached 270 ppm at 310 metres. Independent DBS&A testing recorded total porosity of 30.9% and 33.4% across two samples, broadly aligning with BMR Gamma measurements. The BMR survey identified total porosity ranging from 15% to 42% and Specific Yield between 3% and 34%.
The upper aquifer delivered the strongest hydraulic characteristics, with Specific Yield averaging 19%-22%, while the transition zone averaged 16%. Nine of 18 packer tests were successful, supporting assessment of brine-flow characteristics.
Meanwhile, Well 8 is being prepared for a 72-hour pump test. Patagonia Lithium also plans Well 9, subject to regulatory approval, to test an undrilled 2 km by 3 km area. These activities are expected to provide additional technical data supporting the project’s ongoing resource evaluation.
