Ragusa Minerals Identifies Priority Drill Targets at Purple Pansy Project
Ragusa Minerals Limited (ASX: RAS) has concluded geophysical IP survey work at the Black Rock Manganese Mine prospect, a historic mining area forming part of its Purple Pansy Manganese-Gold Project in Arizona, United States. Interpretation identified strong NW-SE anomalous trends extending along strike from exposed massive manganese oxide mineralisation. Consultants delineated 14 priority drill targets, comprising nine Priority 1, three Priority 2 and two Priority 3 targets, while additional parallel anomalies indicate broader exploration potential.
The company will now progress drill planning, regulatory approvals, permitting, rig access and site mobilisation, targeting a maiden manganese resource estimate at Black Rock. The project also carries strategic relevance as the US currently has no active manganese mines and remains fully import-reliant. With manganese designated as a critical mineral, Purple Pansy could benefit from initiatives supporting domestic supply for energy and defence applications.
