Ampol Prices AU$500 Million Subordinated Notes to Strengthen Capital Structure

Ampol Limited (ASX: ALD) has successfully priced AU$500 million in subordinated notes due in 2055, issued to wholesale investors in the domestic fixed-income market. Settlement is expected around 30 October 2025.

The notes form part of Ampol’s capital management strategy, with proceeds to be used for debt repayment and general corporate purposes, including refinancing AU$500 million of subordinated notes callable in March 2026. The new issue is expected to receive 50% equity credit from Moody’s Investors Service.

The 30-year notes offer a 5.85% fixed rate until January 2034, after which they convert to a floating rate of 3-month BBSW plus 2.00%. CFO Greg Barnes said the transaction attracted strong demand from Australian, New Zealand, and Asian investors, enhancing Ampol’s funding diversity and financial flexibility while supporting its credit rating and growth strategy.
