Baby Bunting Strengthens Profitability and Growth Outlook
Baby Bunting Group Limited (ASX: BBN) reported a stronger FY26 performance, with pro forma NPAT rising 33.9% to $16.1 million, while total sales reached a record $556.0 million, up 6.5% year on year. Comparable store sales increased 3.5%, supported by network expansion and continued customer demand. Gross margin also improved by 100 basis points to a record 41.2%.
The company’s Store of the Future strategy continued to gain traction, with refurbished locations delivering an 18% sales uplift. Online sales climbed 16.7% and accounted for 25.3% of total sales. Baby Bunting also maintained a relatively conservative balance sheet, closing FY26 with net debt of $16.2 million and no final dividend declared. Looking ahead, management expects FY27 pro forma NPAT of $19.0 million to $21.0 million, based on sales of $585 million to $600 million and comparable store growth of 3% to 5%. Early FY27 trading remained positive, with comparable sales up 4.3% in the first six weeks.
