Medallion Metals Uncovers Further High-Grade Gold Potential at Lounge Lizard
Medallion Metals Limited (ASX: MM8) has delivered encouraging exploration results from the Lounge Lizard deposit within its Forrestania Gold Project in Western Australia. A seven-hole, 1,077-metre RC drilling campaign expanded the known mineralised footprint at McMahon’s and revealed an additional hangingwall gold lode.
Key intersections included 5 metres at 5.80 g/t gold from 106 metres, incorporating 3 metres at 8.83 g/t gold. Other notable results comprised 2 metres at 5.05 g/t gold from 147 metres and 6 metres at 2.26 g/t gold from 111 metres.
Confidence in the historical geological database also improved after re-assaying returned grades averaging approximately 20% above previous results. Medallion is preparing around 6,700 metres of diamond and RC drilling to further define and expand mineralisation. An initial Mineral Resource Estimate is targeted for Q3 CY26, alongside studies assessing potential open-pit and underground development opportunities.
