Dart Mining Uncovers Historic Tungsten Potential in Northeast Victoria
Dart Mining NL (ASX: DTM) has identified encouraging historical tungsten exploration results while reviewing its Victorian tin-tungsten portfolio, highlighting the McHargs and Koetong prospects as priority targets for future work. Historic drilling at McHargs returned multiple high-grade tungsten intersections, while a historical non-JORC resource estimate outlined 353,000 tonnes grading 0.6% WO₃. Additional historical sampling at Koetong also delivered strong tungsten and tin grades, suggesting the potential for further mineralised extensions. However, the company emphasised that these historical results have not yet been independently verified or brought into compliance with the JORC Code.
To advance the projects, Dart plans to undertake field inspections, negotiate land access, develop a 3D geological model, assess historical resource estimates, and design future drilling programs. Management believes the combination of favourable geology, historical exploration success, and record tungsten prices strengthens the exploration potential across its Victorian assets. While the historical data provides a promising foundation, further exploration and verification will be required before any mineral resources can be reported under the JORC Code.
