Neurotech Secures AU$4.5 Million to Advance Phase III Autism Trial
Neurotech International Ltd (ASX: NTI) has secured binding commitments to raise approximately AU$4.5 million through a placement of around 321.41 million new shares priced at AU$0.014 each. The capital raising attracted support from both existing and new institutional and sophisticated investors. Proceeds will primarily be directed toward advancing the Company’s Phase III double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of NTI164 for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), while also supporting regulatory activities, working capital requirements, and placement-related expenses.
Upon completion of the placement, Neurotech expects to have sufficient funding to reach the anticipated topline data readout from its Phase III "Beyond Harmony" trial, representing a significant milestone in the development of NTI164. Management stated that the successful capital raise strengthens the Company’s financial position and enables continued execution of its global development strategy, with the long-term objective of pursuing regulatory approval and commercialisation of the therapy for paediatric neurological disorders.
