Mayfield Childcare Secures $3 Million Capital Raise to Support Turnaround Strategy
Mayfield Childcare Limited (ASX: MFD) has announced a non-renounceable entitlement offer to raise approximately AU$3 million, aimed at strengthening its balance sheet and supporting ongoing working capital requirements. Eligible shareholders can subscribe for two new shares for every five existing shares at an issue price of AU$0.10 per share, representing a discount to the company’s last closing price.
The capital raising has received binding commitments of about AU$2.28 million from major shareholders, including Embark Early Education, M&J Ross Investments and Amresh Sharma. The remaining amount will be underwritten by Canaccord Genuity, providing confidence that the offer will be fully subscribed. Management intends to use the proceeds to strengthen liquidity and continue operational improvements focused on occupancy, labour efficiency and childcare centre performance. Eligible shareholders in selected jurisdictions will also have access to a top-up facility, with the offer expected to conclude later in August.
