Peninsula Energy Strengthens Lance Uranium Project with Technical Leadership Overhaul
Peninsula Energy Limited (ASX: PEN) has strengthened the technical leadership of its Lance Uranium Project in Wyoming through the appointment of experienced ISR uranium executive Gary Birch as Chief Technical Officer, effective 28 September 2026. The company has also established a dedicated Technical Committee, chaired by Non-Executive Director Keith Bowes, to enhance technical oversight, governance, and operational performance during the ongoing ramp-up of low-pH in-situ recovery (ISR) operations. Additionally, specialist ISR consulting firm Rendement has been engaged to provide expert technical support focused on improving wellfield performance and ion exchange efficiency.
The Technical Committee will oversee operational reviews, technical risk management, mine development planning, process optimisation, and capability building to support sustainable production growth. Rendement’s work will include detailed data analysis, site assessments, and practical recommendations to address operational constraints. Management believes the combination of experienced technical leadership, stronger governance, and specialist consulting expertise will improve execution, optimise production performance, and strengthen the long-term development of the Lance Uranium Project, positioning the company for future operational growth.
