Yari Resources Strengthens Bowen Basin Portfolio Through Arcadia Acquisition.
Yari Resources Limited (ASX: YAR) has taken a significant step toward expanding its presence in Queensland’s Bowen Basin by signing a binding agreement to acquire the Arcadia Coal Project. Once completed, the transaction is expected to increase the company’s total coal resource inventory to more than 500 million tonnes, creating a larger regional platform for future exploration and development. Arcadia contributes a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate of 282 million tonnes and complements Yari’s existing Rolleston South project. To fund the acquisition and ongoing project activities, the company has secured firm commitments for an AU$2.2 million capital raising. The transaction has been structured with limited upfront cash, while most of the consideration depends on achieving key project milestones and future production, helping align payments with project progress. Subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, the acquisition is expected to enhance Yari’s resource scale, development pipeline and long-term growth prospects within a globally significant coal-producing region.
