Can Audinate’s Rally Continue as FY27 Becomes the Next Big Test? Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights

  • Audinate delivered FY26 revenue of US$46.0 million, representing annual growth of 14.9%, while gross profit climbed 14.7% to US$37.7 million.
  • Dante’s global footprint expanded to 5,158 compatible products and 542 OEM partners, supported by 137 new design wins during the year.
  • Gross margin remained strong at 82.0%, although higher spending pushed underlying EBITDA to a loss of AU$3.6 million.

Why Has Audinate Stock Jumped?Audinate Group Limited (ASX: AD8) has caught investors’ attention after its share price surged 12.4%, taking the current market price (CMP) to AU$2.360. The move followed the release of FY26 numbers that showed healthy sales growth and further progress across the company’s Dante technology platform. Revenue increased 14.9% to US$46.0 million, while gross profit advanced 14.7% to US$37.7 million. Despite continued investment across the business, gross margin stayed robust at 82.0%, only slightly below 82.1% in FY25.What Drove Audinate’s Revenue Growth?Audinate delivered higher revenue across its major business segments. Embedded Components contributed US$31.7 million, rising 12.2% from FY25. Adaptors stood out as the fastest-growing category, increasing 36.1% to US$8.6 million. Platform Software revenue improved 13.7% to US$5.4 million, helped by growing DVS Pro adoption, early demand for Dante Director and the initial revenue contribution from Iris.

The stronger top line did not immediately translate into higher earnings. Operating costs rose 17% to AU$59.1 million. Consequently, underlying EBITDA shifted to a AU$3.6 million loss from a AU$0.7 million profit in FY25.Is Dante Building a Stronger Growth Base? The expanding Dante ecosystem remains central to Audinate’s longer-term opportunity. More than 8 million Dante-enabled devices have been shipped globally, while 5,158 products are now part of the ecosystem. The company has 542 OEM partners with products in the market and secured 137 design wins during FY26, creating potential opportunities for future product launches.Audinate also closed FY26 with AU$65.1 million in cash and term deposits, providing liquidity to continue investing in strategic initiatives. What Could Drive AD8’s Next Move?FY27 may determine whether Audinate can turn its growing market presence into better financial returns. Management expects US-dollar gross profit growth to match or modestly exceed FY26 levels, while gross margin is anticipated to remain around 82%. Australian-dollar operating costs are expected to stay broadly stable.

Following the 12.4% share-price surge, the key question is whether stronger sales, cost discipline and continued Dante adoption can improve profitability and keep AD8’s momentum alive.Note- All data presented is based on information available at the time of writing.Disclaimer for Kapitales ResearchThe materials provided by Kapitales Research, including articles, news, data, reports, opinions, images, charts, and videos ("Content"), are intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
