True North Copper Secures AU$20 Million Funding to Accelerate Copper Growth
True North Copper Limited (ASX: TNC) has secured firm commitments for an AU$18 million placement and plans to raise up to a further AU$2 million through a Share Purchase Plan (SPP), strengthening its funding position for the next phase of copper development. The placement involves 48.65 million shares at AU$0.37 each and was upsized from AU$15 million following strong investor demand.
The proceeds will fund the final AU$7.5 million deferred payment for the Mt Oxide acquisition, while supporting drilling and technical programs at the Aquila prospect through 2027. TNC is also progressing the Cloncurry Copper Project Pre-Feasibility Study, targeted for late Q4 2026, alongside regional exploration. The company highlighted further Mt Oxide assays, continued Aquila drilling and the Cloncurry PFS as key upcoming catalysts.
