Meeka Completes Mt Holland Gold Acquisition to Expand Western Australian Growth Pipeline
Meeka Metals Limited (ASX: MEK) has completed the acquisition of the Blue Vein, Bushpig and Razorback gold deposits and surrounding tenure near Mt Holland in Western Australia. The acquired tenements span a combined 71km² and cover approximately 24km of north-south striking banded iron formation units, which represent the principal host for gold mineralisation in the area. The broader district has a demonstrated production history, with the nearby Bounty gold mine, which is not part of the acquisition, historically producing approximately 1.2Moz at 5.12g/t Au. Meeka sees further exploration potential given limited gold-focused activity across the acquired tenure over the past 15 years and minimal testing beneath shallow mineralised intersections. Historical results at Blue Vein include 20m at 12.8g/t Au from 63m and 23m at 9.2g/t Au from 49m. Meeka plans to report updated 2012 JORC Mineral Resources for the three acquired deposits in October 2026, followed by extensional drilling at Blue Vein from January 2027 and systematic testing of the broader BIF trend during 2027.
